Closet Turned Shelving

I had a small niche that was unused space on my second floor (also open to my first floor). It was an eye soar because it had boring doors covering it. I wanted to create something that was nice to look at from my lower entry and that could also serve some sort of purpose, if needed. I removed the doors, and installed two mismatched (although you would never know) antique class french doors that I found at a flea market for very little and painted them both out in a matching white. After adding hardware and installing them to the wall (they do not function...just simply stationary for decoration), I added your basic wood boards as shelves, using metal pins screwed into the side walls to support them. Then, to add interest, I painted the back wall of the niche to make the white shelves stand out. : )
